So, a compromise was hatched.  Dan and I headed to Blake Island on Saturday.  We left early on Sunday morning to catch up with Molly and Camille who took the bus to the ferry terminal in Seattle and the ferry to Bainbridge.  We actually crossed paths entering Eagle Harbor.  The ferry steamed at 17 knots and passed us easily doing 5 knots.  There were exuberant hand waving between the two boats.

On the first day there, I went from Cub Creek to Mazama via the Rendezvous trails on the Tour of the Methow.  It was a very long slog uphill skating.  It took me nearly four hours and I was completely wiped out at the end.
