Tonight, Camille amazed us all with her “daring-do”. She performed in her final year at Whittier Elementary School. We’re so proud of her! She was offered the anchor spot in the program and stepped up to the plate to perform.

Daniel’s sketch of Chief Sealth

Daniel studied Native American Cultures recently at school. As part of his final presentation, he did this sketch of the Native American for whom our fair city is named – Chief Sealth (aka Seattle). It is worth noting that the chief didn’t want the city named after him. In his culture, it was not seen as a great honor.

Sledding at Salmon Bay Park

On my regular day off, Camille and Daniel wanted playdates as school was canceled due to snow. Other kids and their parents started calling about playdates as school was canceled yet again. Pretty soon, we had eight kids and two adults at our house. After lunch, we headed for Salmon Bay Park for some sledding. Hot chocolate followed, along with lots of opportunities for Camille to work on her social and leadership skills.
