Camille is a variant on a witch this year with a homemade orange and black cape. Daniel is Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes.

Camille is busy connecting old and new friends. She invited Felicity (a newish friend) and Kasey (an old friend and bff) for a sewing playdate after school.

Camille and her friends Lila and Kasey participated in Ms. Chloe’s annual dance performance camp. Here are pictures and video from the performance.

iPhone stealing stuffed animal

Camille brought her sewing supplies along. She sewed a stuffed animal she called Munchkin. She told a story about how Munchkin lost his magical iPhone and would be stealing one. She made a special sleeveless jacket for Munchkin with an iPhone pouch.

Munchkin, after successfully stealing Molly’s iPhone, branched out into other criminal enterprises, stealing the dry stores.

Daniel had to remember to bring his bike and accessories to the Boys and Girls Club the following day, so he created this reminder note. I thought it was pretty creative.

Daniel flies his homemade boomerang

Daniel came home with a small model of a cardboard boomerang and decided to scale it up about 10x. Here is the result. It flies quite well.

Fiddler on the Roof – Final Night

Camille had a role in Broadway Bound‘s Fiddler on the Roof. It was a small speaking part, but she had a great time. Camille played “Lev”, one of the Jewish village men.

She went with Lila, who had a larger role as Chava, one of Tevye’s daughters. Here are a few pics from the closing night performance.

Tonight, Camille amazed us all with her “daring-do”. She performed in her final year at Whittier Elementary School. We’re so proud of her! She was offered the anchor spot in the program and stepped up to the plate to perform.

Daniel’s sketch of Chief Sealth

Daniel studied Native American Cultures recently at school. As part of his final presentation, he did this sketch of the Native American for whom our fair city is named – Chief Sealth (aka Seattle). It is worth noting that the chief didn’t want the city named after him. In his culture, it was not seen as a great honor.

Camille performed with her friend Kasey and others tonight. The performed to music from the Nutcracker. Chloe Davenport is her instructor. Sadly, my camera angle was less than ideal. Camille is in the back row in the middle, directly behind the girl in front.
