It had snowed on Thursday and many patients cancelled their appointments on the following day. In a desire to ski, I spontaneously decided to invite my kids who were spending the day with another family to come with me. Camille said yes, but only if her friend Lucy, who had skis, but had never skiied before, could come. Daniel said no, he’d rather stay and play with Pee Wee. So I ended up with two girls, heading up to Cabin Creek at 2 PM for a quick ski trip. It was the first day that they groomed and the groomer was pulling out of the parking lot as we showed up at 3:15. Lucy was a trooper and did wonderfully for her first day skiing.
The conditions were fabulous. It was partly sunny, cold, and calm. The snow cover was awesome, and the grooming quite good.
